There are more attractive options than ever before available to cat and dog owners who are looking for affordable pet boarding services or other forms of animal care. This glut of choices can be confusing. How does an owner know which of the many cat and dog boarding kennels and sitters provides the best value for their money? How should value be measured, for that matter? What should an owner look for during a visit to the facility?

Because a sitter is in the home for an extremely short period, animals receive very little human interaction or supervision while you’re gone. Just as there is relatively little supervision for your dog or cat, there is also no supervision for the sitter. There’s really no good way to know how often the sitter will stop by, how long they stay, or what they do while they’re in your home.
